December 1, 2009: The use of medical marijuana has been legalized in thirteen states, including Colorado.

November 15, 2009: Under Colorado law, no health insurance provider is required to reimburse for the medical marijuana use.

November 1, 2009: The state of Colorado doesn’t have “reciprocity” with any other states, regarding the legal use of medical marijuana.

October 15, 2009: To apply for a Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry Card, you need to submit an application and a $90 non-refundable fee to the Colorado Department of Health And Environment. Within 35 days, you’ll either receive your card or notification that you’ve been denied. If you’re denied, you have to wait at least six months to reapply.

Colorado law permits the legal sale of medical marijuana throughout the Denver metro area, including: Westminster, Arvada, Aurora, Wheat Ridge, Broomfield, Englewood, Golden, Boulder, Littleton, Lakewood, Brighton, Centennial, and Longmont.
